The HoogovensMuseum

The HoogovensMuseum shows the history of the steel company in IJmuiden. The development of the iron- and steel company is exhibited by presenting objects, old documents, photograph and film material

The museum has been established in an historical building, the old piping foundry, which is located exactly outside the company area behind the congress centre of Tata Steel. See route description.

The HoogovensMuseum is open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10.00 A.M. till 4.00 P.M In the months May – September also open on Friday!
Be aware that you need at least two hours to get a good view on the collection. Keep this in mind related to the closing at 4.00 P.M.

Admission for the museum is € 3, – coffee or tea included. (€ 5, -starting 1 January 2019)

For children up to 16 years access is free.
